Former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to stop blaming others for mayhem allegedly unleashed by Fulani herdsmen on other Nigerians.

Fani-Kayode made this known via his verified Twitter handle on Thursday afternoon in reaction to a statement by Buhari that former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, who was slain in 2011, was responsible for training and arming those now perpetrating killings across the north central part of the country.

Buhari made this known when he met the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby in London on Wednesday.

He said of the killings, “The problem is even older than us. It has always been there, but now made worse by the influx of armed gunmen from the Sahel region into different parts of the West African sub-region.”

“These gunmen were trained and armed by Muammar Gaddafi of Libya. When he was killed, the gunmen escaped with their arms. We encountered some of them fighting with Boko Haram.

“Herdsmen that we used to know carried only sticks and maybe a cutlass to clear the way, but these ones now carry sophisticated weapons.”

But reacting, Fani-Kayode said, “First u blame GEJ for the herdsmen, then u blame OBJ and now u are blaming Ghadaffi. Have u no shame?None of those u are blaming are Fulani and none are members of Miyetti Allah. U are both Fulani and u are Life Patron of Miyetti Allah. The herdsmen are ur boys.Blame urself!”
