A man, Taiye Adebayo, has reportedly stabbed one Oluwasegun Shonibare, a father of three, to death during a disagreement over parking space.

Adebayo was said to be the son of Shonibare’s landlord at 24 Adewunmi Close, Ilaje Ajah, where the incident occurred.

According to witnesses, Shonibare, 36, returned home on Sunday night, November 19, and parked his minibus, also known as ‘korope’, in front of the compound before going to bed.

However, Adebayo was said to have knocked on his door and complained about where he parked his vehicle.

Shonibare, who went outside, reportedly told Adebayo that the location was his usual parking spot, which did not sit down well with the latter.

An argument was said to have ensued, during which Adebayo allegedly stabbed Shonibare multiple times.

The victim’s elder brother, Faid Shonibare, said he got a call at night informing him that he brother was dead.

He said he rushed to Ajah early Monday morning to find the lifeless body of his brother in a pool of blood.

Faid confirmed that his late brother was stabbed in different parts of the body.

He called on the authorities to ensure justice is done in the matter.
