Dr. Junaid Mohammed, a prominent Northern academic and Second Republic lawmaker, has claimed that there is indeed a cabal in President Muhammadu Buhari’s government.
Dr. Mohammed, who stated this in a recent interview with The Guardian, also alleged that Alhaji Mamman Daura, who is President Buhari’s nephew, is the head of the cabal.
Mohammed added that the cabal was responsible for doctoring the Arms Probe report to protect the Minister of Interior, Major General Abdulrahman Dambazau (rtd), and current Chief Of Army Staff, Major General Tukur Buratai.
He said: “Dambazau is a close ally of Alhaji Mamman Daura, who is President Buhari’s nephew, and also head of the ‘cabal’ in Buhari’s presidency today. Buratai is an ally of Dambazau and President Buhari.
“So there is no way the Presidency will not shield the duo.”
“Nigerians should know that as far as the cabal holds sway in Aso Rock, nothing will happen to Dambazua and Buratai,” Mohammed added.
It will be recalled that embattled Senate President, Bukola Saraki, had previously alleged that there was a cabal in President Buhari”s administration, which the presidency denied.
However, the Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress(APC) has corroborated the claims by the Senate President that there is a cabal in the Presidency.
