The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 32-year-old man, Abubakar Yahaya Ibrahim, for illegal possession of firearm.
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, SP Benjamin Hundeyin disclosed this in an X post on Monday.
He said that Ibrahim and two others were stopped by police officers at 2am in Igbo Elerin area of the state.
“Though all three fled, Abubakar was eventually apprehended and searched.
“Found in his bag were a locally fabricated double-barrel firearm, one expended and one live cartridge.
“Investigation is ongoing,” Hundeyin said.
