Man Arrested With Son’s Head In Tow

A man identified as Maikudi Mohammed from Bauchi has been arrested by police while in possession of a human head.

Haruna Mohammed, the police public pelations officer in a statement said that Mohammed was arrested with the help of some good intelligence. He and an accomplice had allegedly dug up the head of a boy from his grave with the intention of selling it.

It was later  gathered that the head belonged to none other than Mohammed’s son whom he claimed had died some time ago.

Haruna Mohammed’s statement said: “Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect conspired with his accomplice, one Damina Mohammed, male, (26) of the same address, and went to a grave yard in Galambi village and removed the head of a male child corpse in order to sell it to their customer now at large. 

The principal suspect confessed that the child was his son who died and was buried but he later went back to the graveyard at night with his accomplice and exhumed it.”

Investigations continues on the case and it is hoped it comes to a speedy conclusion.
