Barcelona FC star player, Lionel Messi may be planning to dump the club after he rejected the opening offer of a new deal which will confirm his stay at Camp Nou.

The latest development has however sparked speculations that the Argentine might be looking to exit the club for a greener pasture.

Messi’s failure to sign the opening offer presented by the club could mean his current contract which will expire in 2018 will be his last for the Camp Nou team should he fail to put a pen to paper till the end of his contract.

Sources however reveal that the 29-year-old Barcelona FC player, despite the offer rejection will still sign a new deal with the club although based on different wages as he will seek for an increased pay.

The current offer proposed by the club will place the Spanish League player on a weekly pay of €30m to €35m-a-season but his decision to reject the offer was reported to be the result of a decision he reached along with his agent who doubles as his father, Jorge.
