The Minister of Art, Culture, and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, has issued a heartfelt plea for support for veteran actor Zack Orji, who recently underwent brain surgery. The minister expressed her concern and solidarity after visiting Orji in a private hospital in Abuja.
Zack Orji was rushed to the hospital over the weekend after reportedly collapsing in his toilet. Minister Hannatu Musawa, in a statement released by her spokesperson Nneka Anibeze on Wednesday, provided an update on the actor’s health, revealing that he underwent brain surgery.
In her statement, the minister conveyed the importance of rallying behind the ailing actor, emphasizing his significant contributions to the Nigerian entertainment industry. She stated, “We have watched him entertain us, and we see him as a national treasure. So the best we can do is to ensure that we support him in getting the best treatment.”
Calling on well-meaning Nigerians to extend their support through prayers and other means, Minister Musawa expressed optimism for Zack Orji’s recovery. “We will also reach out to other well-meaning Nigerians to support him through prayers and other means to ensure that he survives this ailment,” she affirmed.
Musawa concluded with a prayer for the actor’s healing, stating, “God will heal him. We will do all we can to support him. We solicit the collective prayers of Nigerians.“
