Lisa Batstone, an American mum surrendered herself to the police after killing her 8-year-old Daughter, just to get back at her ex-husband.
Lisa and Gabe were married for a while, and had a beautiful daughter, Teagan, but the marriage did not end well, as the couple ended up separating.
Teagan was a little girl with a gentle smile, she embraced everything that came her way. She loved gymnastics, tennis, running and especially animals.
Lisa tried working things out with Gabe by enlisting help from a family counselor, and were already making plans for child care.
Her mother remained in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, while Gabe moved to Ottawa, where he went on to marry his new partner, Stephanie.
Her mother also had a 5-year-old son for another man, but Teagan did not care, she loved her step-brother. Teagan would regularly visit her dad and his girlfriend , and her dad would come visiting when she could.
The mother suffered depression and anxiety and in 2012, she attempted suicide. Teagan went to stay with her dad, but once her mother had recovered and was deemed safe to look after her daughter again, she was returned to her.
Gabe tried getting custody of Teagan due to her mothers condition, but he was denied.
Another week, Gabe came visiting, Teagans mother messaged him, saying, ‘It seems you’d rather I disappeared.’
Gabe received a message from Lisa saying Teagan was unwell with the flu and wouldn’t be going to school.
Then at lunchtime that day, a 911 call was placed by a member of the public in Surrey, saying a woman had crashed her car in a residential area.
The mother was found in the boot, holding her dead daughters body.

The mother kept saying, ‘I just wanna die’, and that she wanted her daughter to ‘be with Jesus’. A knife was found in her possession. Once further investigation was carried out, it was discovered that Teagan had been killed by her mother.
