Nigerian artiste, May D took to his twitter to rant about his influence in the music industry.
He tweeted “Na me bring amapiano come Naija, and I have awards to prove that! We started the Naija South African collaboration! I don’t like saying shit like this but y’all like putting me under the box.”

Despite the backlash he got for the tweet, he doubled down by stating that after him was David, referring to A-list artist, Davido.
He continued his rant and came back at fans who challenged him, calling them “small children wey no know anything” in another tweet.

An hour later, the artist posted a promotion tweet of his new single which put his rant in perspective. He seemed to have needed the attention.
