The Chairman, Nigeria Governors’ Forum and Zamfara Gov. Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari, on Tuesday assured President Muhammadu Buhari of his continued support and loyalty.
A statement issued by Malam Ibrahim Dosara, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Public Enlightenment, Media and Communication, said that Yari gave the assurance on Tuesday while paying homage to Buhari in Daura, Katsina.
”The Chairman of Nigeria Governors Forum promised to work with diligence to mobilise his colleagues to rally round the President to give him all the the support he needed to make Nigeria great.
” Yari has just come back from Mecca, where a special prayer was organised in honour of the President and for the well-being of Nigeria and Nigerians.
” Yari also said the President required such prayers from all Nigerians to take the country to its next level of development,,” the statement made available to newsmen in Sokoto said.
Yari, therefore, urged all Nigerians to continue to pray for the President and to support his policies on fighting insurgency, militancy, corruption and the diversification of the nation’s economy.
”My government will soon come up with an aggressive enlightenment campaign to educate the people of Zamfara on the President ‘s change agenda policies in order to carry the people along,” the statement, qouted Yari as saying.
The chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum also pledged to encourage his colleagues to embark on a similar project so as to enlighten the people about the President’s policies and objectives, the statement said.
