A 22-year-old Nigerian man, Chiedozie Amadi has been arrested by police in the US city of Houston in Texas over the death of a woman.
Amadi was charged with murder as police investigators said they witnessed him intentionally hit the victim, later identified as 26-year-old Jasmine James, on the head with a metal object after his vehicle hit her on a street called Bissonnet.
The suspect’s vehicle was said to have flipped over as a result of the crash that occurred around 2am on Thursday.
James was pronounced dead at the hospital were she was taken for treatment.

The suspect was arrested on the scene and police said he has admitted his role in the incident.
