Popular Nigerian singer Skiibii has refuted accusations made by influencer Nicki Dabarbie who alleged he attempted to use her for a “ritual” during a boat cruise invitation.
Dabarbie took to social media claiming Skiibii and fellow musician Mayorkun were involved in the incident. She shared a hospital image on her Instagram story and alleged they used “fake police” to confiscate her phone while she tried to go live.
Skiibii vehemently denied the accusations, calling them “false” and an attempt to damage his reputation. He confirmed reporting the incident to the police and expressed his trust in a thorough investigation.
“I typically remain silent when people make accusations in the media,” Skiibii stated on his Instagram story. “However, I feel it’s necessary to address recent events, especially when false information is being spread.“
He continued, outlining his plan to pursue legal action. “Firstly, I want to clarify that the narratives being circulated are completely false. The truth will come to light on all fronts.“
“I have reported the incident to the Nigeria Police Force because there’s nothing to hide, and I trust that they will conduct a thorough investigation. I will let the law take its course to its full measure this time.“
