Media personality, Chinedu Ani popularly known as Nedu is in the news again and, expectedly, for another controversial comment.

Speaking on ‘Across The Bridge’ programme on Lagos-based Naija 102.7FM, Nedu said that a popular pastor in Lagos Island was sleeping with his female church members.

He said that a friend of his who attends the church told him about the promiscuous pastor.

According to Nedu, his friend tried unsuccessfully to woo some single female fellow church members until he discovered that they were romantically linked with the pastor.

Nedu said his hosts knew the pastor in question.

Explaining in Pidgin English, Nedu stated: “I go talk am. E get one church wey young, young people dey go. I will say it! E get one church wey dey for Island here, I go leave am like that (which is him promising not to reveal the church’s name).

“Young, young people dey go the church. A lot of young people. Na ‘Eh yo, eh yo kind of church (funky church). If the pastor dey preach, hin wife dey preach.

“Now, this man; my guy sef dey go the church. The babes wey my guy dey try chyke (woo) for the church, wey no gree for my guy; na pastor naim dey wipe (sleep with) them. And all of una wey dey here know the pastor.”

When one of the hosts suggested he took the matter to his podcast, Nedu objected, noting, “You see what you don’t want to fight with is religion. You won’t win. You see religion and politics, don’t bother. I intentionally did not call names.”

Meanwhile, the OAP’s revelation has been causing a social media stir, with many accusing him of focusing on other people’s affairs to the detriment of his own.

In September 2021, Nedu confirmed that his ex-wife, Uzoamaka Ohiri, had given him an illegitimate child.

He made the revelation while responding to a domestic violence allegation levelled against him by Ohiri.
