The management of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife has shut down the ivory tower of note until further notice.
A spokesman for the school, Abiodun Olanrewaju said the students were sent home on mid term.
Students had on Monday carried out a peaceful protest at the gates of the school, to call attention to the dilapidated state of their halls of residence.
The students had called for the probe of the administration of their Vice Chancellor Prof. Bamitale Omole over corruption activities.
