One blind man accuses another of committing adultery with wife

The chairman of the Blind Peoples’ Association of Mararaba, Nasarawa State, Shehu Sarki, 32 has been sued by another blind man, Shaibu Ibrahim, 26, to a Grade 1 Area Court, Aso Pada, Mararaba, for allegedly committing illicit affairs with his wife.

Ibrahim accused Sarki, who he confirmed as his friend, of allegedly luring his wife, Lami Ibrahim, 23 to bed.

Ibrahim explained to the court thus; “Sometime in June, our chairman, Sarki, helped me to get a woman, Lami, for marriage. After our marriage in July, Sarki later enticed my wife and took her away from my house”.

He also said he was able to confirm that his wife has been staying in one of Sarki’s rooms and that he has been sleeping with her.”

News Agency of Nigeria, (NAN) reported the case has been adjourned till September 9 for hearing by the presiding judge, Mr Albert Maga, who granted the accused person bail in the sum of N20, 000 and a surety in like sum.

Although,  the accused pleaded not guilty but if convicted will be remanded in prison for two years because the offence contravenes Section 389 of the Penal Code, and if convicted.
