Leadership of the All Progressives Congress are currently in Abuja spearheading a protest against the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for its role in the flawed and fraudulent elections recently conducted in Anambra State.
An INEC official has been arrested by the Nigerian Police after he was found to be in collusion with opposition party, All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) to deny APC candidate, Senator Chris Ngige tens of thousands of votes.
Also insufficient material and lack of other strategic resources led to many voters being disenfranchised in several Local Governments. Despite the widespread acceptance of the fraudulent elections, INEC has refused to outrightly cancel the elections, choosing to hold supplementary elections in few areas instead.
