The former Governor of Abia State, Mr. Orji Uzor Kalu and his co-defendants are set to be re-arraigned on May 16, 2016 by order of a federal high court in Abuja today. He is charged with diverting about N5.6bn in state funds. Kalu and his co-defendants were accused of diverting the state’s fund while he was governor of Abia State between 1999 and 2007.
