The Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, says since the Federal Government could arrest IPOB Leader, Nnamdi Kanu abroad, arresting killer herdsmen should not be impossible.

Ortom stated this in a comment on his verified Facebook page on Thursday evening.

Recall that Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami SAN disclosed in a statement that Kanu was arrested due to the collaborative efforts of Nigerian intelligence and security services.

According to the AGF, Kanu was presented in court on Tuesday to continue his trial on an 11-count charge bordering on terrorism, treasonable felony, managing an unlawful society, publication of defamatory matter, illegal possession of firearms and improper importation of goods, among others.

Reacting, Ortom wrote, “If the Federal Government has the capacity to arrest Nnamdi Kanu in a foreign land, they should also exhibit the same zeal, will and decision to arrest armed Fulani herdsmen who are terrorizing our state and country.

“If Nnamdi Kanu can be arrested abroad and brought back to Nigeria, I believe that if the federal government exhibits the same will, they can arrest Fulani herdsmen, especially Miyetti Allah who have owned up to the killing of many Nigerians.”
