The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole on Friday visited Kano ahead of the defection of former Governor of the state, Ibrahim Shekarau, to the party.
On landing in Kano alongside some members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party, Oshiomhole was welcomed by the State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, who accompanied the chairman to Shekarau’s home.
The governor’s media aide, Salihu Tanko Yakassai posted photos of the visit on Twitter.
Tweeting from @dawisu, Yakassai said, “Comrade Adams Oshiomole and H.E @GovUmarGanduje have just arrived at the residence of His Excellency Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau ahead of his defection to APC tomorrow.“
A crowd of Shekarau’s supporters gathered to welcome Oshiomhole and his team.
