Oba who manages Aridolf Hotel and Spa owned by Patience Jonathan is currently in custody of the police for attempting to murder his 23-year-old former lover in a report by The Nation.

The suspect allegedly hit Atia with his SUV during a heated argument and left her for dead.

Atia is on the verge of losing her leg as it was crushed during the deliberate car accident. Doctors have advised the complete amputation of the leg in order to save her life.

The 23-year-old victim disclosed influential people are making consistent efforts to die the case but she would not budge until justice is served.

She narrated the incident that preceded her attempted murder.

According to Atia, she ended the four-month-old relationship after she realized Oba was a violent person.

The suspect came to het house to return her belongings which she left  in his place during the course of the relationship.

She found out they were incomplete and told her ex-lover who reportedly got angry.

This led to a shouting match that eventually caused Oba to ram her violently into the gate with his SUV. He pinned her against the gate and her plea for mercy fell on deaf ears.

After few minutes, he reversed his car and zoomed off leaving her for dead.

She said neighbours who saw her laying on the floor, came to her rescue and took her to the hospital where she is currently receiving medical treatment.

However, she was shocked to learn her leg would be amputated as it was crushed beyond treatment during the deliberate accident.

Reacting to this, 23-year-old Atia said “I’m devastated, but I’m fine, I will rise above it. I feel bad, I didn’t think someone could go this extreme,”

Asimim Bytwat, Bayelsa state Police spokesman confirmed the incident and disclosed the case would be transferred to Criminal Investigations Department.

This is coming after Maryam Sanda was sentenced to death by hanging for the murder of her husband, son of former PDP leader leaving 2 children behind.
