PDP Spies In APC Will Destroy Party From Within – Reno Omokri

Former Special Assistant to President Jonathan on New Media, Reno Omokri has said that Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) loyalists within the All Progressives Congress (APC) will remain and destroy the ruling party from within.

He made this known in a Thursday afternoon tweet via his verified Twitter handle.

Recall that President Muhammadu on Wednesday night met with 43 APC senators over the gale of defection within the National Assembly.

This is following the defection of 15 senators and 37 House of Representatives on Tuesday.

In the tweet, Omokri said that the senators that met Buhari and pledged loyalty to him were only “fooling him”.

The US-based Omokri described the PDP as a party of strategists who were not beyond planting moles within the president’s party to instigate its destruction from within.

Meanwhile, the APC Senate caucus has maintained that the party remains in the majority despite the gale of defection.

The Leader of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, who spoke on behalf of the caucus, said,  “Out of the 109 senate seats, the APC has 52, the PDP has 50, the ADC has three and APGA has two.

“Recall that we lost two of our colleagues, one from Katsina, one from Bauchi. So, we have two vacancies. If you put this together we have 109.

“I want to assure you that by the grace of God, INEC will conduct by-elections to fill in the vacancies in Bauchi and Katsina and by the grace of God they are our safest seats.

“We are  still expecting some of our colleagues in the PDP who are originally our members to defect.

“They have expressed willingness to join APC and for our collleagues that have left we are still optimistic that many of them or all of them will have a change of heart.

“APC remains the majority party in the Senate and in the House of  Representatives.”
