Yesterday was a dark day in the history of Aba in Abia state as a riot broke out which cost the lives of about 3 people and left many injured.
It also ramped up the pressure in the state between the Igbos and the Hausas with each group ready to kill the other.
The trouble starting when a Hausa man allegedly stabbed an Igbo trader incurring the wrath of the Igbo youths who retaliated and fought back, lynching the Hausa man who committed the deed.
Below are scenes from the mayhem that occurred in the state including the bodies of the burnt Hausa man and the stabbed Igbo trader. Some of the images are graphic so discretion is advised.
It was not a riot. It was an attack on Hausa people living in that place. This has further gone to show the insincerity of most of our media plat forms. If this has happened in the North, such news papers would have bombarded us with all manner of adjectives to make it look like all Ibos of this country have been killed.We are keenly watching and listening.
