The embattled national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sen. Ali Modu Sheriff last night formally took over the party’s leadership at the national secretariat of the party in Abuja.
Sheriff made the triumphant entry to the Wadata House in the midst of hundreds of his supporters.
Recall that the PDP headquarters had been under lock and key since May last year after it was taken over by the police as part of efforts to resolve the lingering crisis between Sheriff and the caretaker chairman of the party, Sen. Ahmed Makarfi.
