Police arrest 3 suspects over alleged Visa Racketeering in Abuja

The Police Command in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) says it has arrested three suspects in connection with alleged visa racketeering in Abuja.

A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the FCT, DSP Anjuguri Manzah on Wednesday in Abuja, said the suspects were arrested by detectives from the command following a tip-off.

He said that the suspects were arrested during a sting operation on Feb. 6, at a plaza in Nyanya while photocopying some documents suspected to be forged.

Manzah said items recovered from the suspects were forged medical certificate, bank statements, NYSC discharged certificates as well as university transcript.

He said the suspects included a female and two males, adding that they would be arraigned in court upon conclusion of investigation.
