The Rivers State Police Command has declared a suspected cultist, Gift David Okpara better known as 2 Baba, wanted in connection with the killing of a Divisional Police Officer (DPO), SP Bako Angbashim.
In a bulletin released by the Commissioner of Police, the police said anyone with information leading to the apprehension of the suspect would get a “handsome reward”.
Until his death, SP Angbashim was the DPO of Ahoada Division in Rivers State.
The Rivers State Police Command had said that the DPO was ambushed and killed by gunmen in Odumude community, Ahoada East Local Government Area of the state last Friday.
He was said to have led a team of operatives to raid some criminal hideouts in the area and while returning, gunmen suspected to be cultists ambushed them.
A viral video that surfaced on social media shows the moment the gunmen displayed the senior policeman’s mutilated body.
In the bulletin, the police said ‘2 Baba’ is wanted for “conspiracy, cultism and murder of SP Bako Angbashim”.
