The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a young lady, Aminat Ajayi, with 103 wraps of ‘Colorado’ in Whitesand, Ijora-Badia area of the state.
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, SP Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the arrest on Sunday.
A street lingo for synthetic cannabinoids, Colorado is a trending cocktail of psychotropic drugs commonly used by many Nigerians especially youths.
The police spokesman said that Ajayi, 20, was arrested by a team led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ijora-Badia division acting on actionable intelligence.
He said that the command would not relent in its effort to reduce crime through the checkmating proliferation of illicit drugs in society.
“DPO Ijora-Badia and team, acting on actionable intelligence, stormed Whitesand area where 20-year-old Aminat Ajayi was arrested with 103 wraps of ‘Colorado.’
“Investigation is ongoing. Reduction in drug is directly proportional to reduction in crime. We will not relent!” Hundeyin said.
