Founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele says Nigeria will lose more prominent politicians to COVID-19.
He disclosed this in a statement in reaction to the death of Senator for Lagos East, Sen. Bayo Osinowo aka Pepperito, Daily Post reported.
Recall that the senator died Monday at First Cardiologist Hospital, Lagos reportedly due to COVID-19 complications.
Ayodele, who expressed sadness at the politician’s demise, warned that more prominent politicians would die from the deadly virus if strong prayer was not conducted.
The popular cleric added that many poor people would also be affected, though they would not be recognised.
According to him, God has set aside a Thursday, Friday, and Saturday for the prayer during which a three-day total lockdown must be declared.
He warned that the virus was still lurking around to wreak more havoc on the nation but the prayers would weaken it.
“I send my condolence greetings to the family of the dead.
“I am not happy; it came as a rude shock to me especially for the fact that I earlier spoke about this but I still want to warn those in power, Covid-19 is still out there to kill targeted number of people.
“Not all politicians will see 2023, Covid-19 will still kill so many of them until the needful is done,” Daily Post quoted Ayodele as saying.
