Nigerian music sensation, Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, made headlines today as he boldly asserted his determination to win a Grammy this year, despite not securing a nomination for the 2024 prestigious music awards. The declaration was made during his visit to the opulent Lagos mansion of billionaire businessman Tony Elumelu, where Rema presented an exclusive album copy and his merchandise, Air Rema, as gifts to the Elumelu family.
Expressing his gratitude for Tony Elumelu’s unwavering support for the Nigerian music industry, Rema conveyed his appreciation in a video clip shared on the billionaire’s Instastory. In the clip, Rema stated, “Thank you for what you have done and the support you have for the music industry. I am grateful, it means a lot to me. This year I am bringing the Grammy.”
Rema’s determination to secure a Grammy win this year comes on the heels of his exclusion from the 2024 Grammy nominations, a snub that did not deter the ‘Calm Down’ crooner from setting his sights on the coveted music award.
