“My resignation has nothing do with online rage”- Seun Onigbinde

Co-founder and CEO of BudgIT, Seun Onigbinde, a popular critic of the Buhari led administration who accepted an appointment on Friday, Sep 13, 2019, as the Technical Adviser to the Minister of Finance, has received heavy backlash for accepting to work for the same government he has always despised.

Nigerians did not hesitate to condemn the BudgIT CEO on various social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc. The attacks were so much that Onigbinde allegedly deactivated his twitter account.

Eventually, he rejected the appointment and some have said Onigbinde was forced to resign due to the heavy backlash he got from Nigerians. Now the BudgIT CEO has debunked the claims, saying the online rage was not the reason behind his resignation.
