Rihanna to headline the superbowl amidst musical hiatus

2 Min Read

The NFL has officially announced that Rihanna would be headlining the half-time show at the 2023 SuperBowl!

It seems the artiste is taking a break from her 6-year-long musical hiatus to headline the coveted Super Bowl half-time performance.

Rihanna herself confirmed the performance with a post on her own social media so we can hope she’ll actually sing! (We can only hope that this is not just a prank.)

The NFL even changed the meaning of its abbreviation to ‘National Fenty League’ on its Twitter profile.

In a tweet, Jay-Z states: “Rihanna is a generational talent, a woman of humble beginnings who has surpassed expectations at every turn. A person born on the small island of Barbados who became one of the most prominent artists ever. Self-made in business and entertainment.”

The excitement is palpable and fans cannot wait to see her sing again after so long. The artiste has been taking time off music to focus on building her Fenty empire and recently, she is also building a family. She has promised fans albums but they’ve been getting savage Fenty lingerie releases instead.

Nevertheless, the question on everyone’s mind is the same, could this be the comeback we’ve all been waiting for?
