Belgian football star, Romelu Lukaku, has officially ended his ties with sports agency Roc Nation Sports, marking the end of their nearly five-year partnership.

The Herald gathered that Lukaku’s departure from the nations was evident as his name no longer appears on the agency’s front page. Reports suggest that the decision to part ways was made shortly after Lukaku’s loan move to Roma was finalized.

While the Belgian striker experienced some of the best moments in his career under Roc Nation Sports, the summer of 2023 was marred by several difficulties.

Lukaku had been widely anticipated to rejoin Inter Milan, where he had been on loan during the 2022/23 season. However, talks with rival club Juventus caused a sudden shift in plans, leading to the termination of the Inter move.

There were also rumours of a potential transfer to Saudi Arabia or a swap deal between Juventus and his parent club, Chelsea, involving Bianconeri striker Dusan Vlahovic, but none of these deals materialized.

At the end, Lukaku signed with AS Roma, who had been actively seeking a new striker throughout the summer, securing a loan deal for the 2023/24 Italian Serie A campaign.

As at the time of filing this report, Roc Nation Sports has not provided any official statement regarding their separation from Romelu Lukaku.

The agency still represents a roster of athletes, including AC Milan’s Samuel Chukwueze, Inter’s Federico Dimarco, and other notable names like Kevin De Bruyne and Marcus Rashford.
