Shaka Momoh: Nigerians mourn as COVID-19 claims Planet One boss

Nigerians have taken to Twitter to mourn the death of Shaka Momoh, the Chief Executive Officer of Planet One Hotels, Lagos.

Momoh reportedly died of COVID-19 complications at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) on Thursday.

Until his demise, the Business Administration graduate of Auchi Polytechnic was also the boss of Hospitality Warehouse, Baobab Edge Limited, and Basic Information and Communications System Limited (BICS).

Popular Police Reforms Advocate, Segun Awosanya wrote, “Lost another gem to #Covid19. The last time we spoke it was about our intervention on his case with a financial institution. Now he is no more. Rest In Peace Distinguished Shaka Momoh (Planet One).”

He told Nigerians, “Covid-19 is real”.

Gboyega Akosile, who is the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Lagos State, also mourned the businessman’s death.

Akosile wrote, “Stay safe out there!”
