The Senator representing Kaduna Central senatorial district, Shehu Sani, on Monday met the Fulani herdsmen of Kajuru Local Government Area, one of the LGAs that make up his constituency.

He said the move was for empowerment initiatives, which is believed to be geared towards easing tensions within the region as well as empowering the Fulanis.

The photos, some of which were uploaded on his Facebook page, were captioned “Empowerment initiatives for the Fulanis, Kajuru Local Government” and “It’s not in our history to speak when it’s convenient; its in our history to speak when it matters.”

As a show of courtesy, the senator dressed in the traditional garb of the herdsmen.
