Staying Active Prevents Depression in Pregnancy

Researchers have said that more exercise during pregnancy can help prevent depression among pregnant women.

According to a study presented recently at the Society for Endocrinology’s annual meeting in Edinburgh, Scotland, the researchers insisted that sitting down for two long while pregnant could harm the baby while still in the womb.

They said sitting down for more than six hours a day during the second trimester caused greater weight gain during the pregnancy and increased the risk of diabetes as a consequence.

They also linked it to appearance of more birth complications.

They recommended that pregnant women should stay more active.
