‘You cannot sue Fashola and leave Peter Obi’ – Igbokwe speaks on N1bln deportee lawsuit

Joe Igbokwe, APC spokesperson for Lagos State, has said that those who instituted a N1 billion lawsuit against Lagos State government are hypocrites for not taking similar action against Peter Obi who deported Ebonyi indigenes from Anambra in 2011.

He said it was not the deportees that instituted the lawsuit but others doing it for selfish political and capital gains.

“We know it is not those people that are doing it. It is some people who want to feather their nest. But what  I want to advise is that those people who sued Fashola should also have the courage to sue Peter Obi for doing the same thing in 2011 when he deported citizens of Ebonyi and Akwa Ibom from Anambra State.

“And they should also summon the courage to go and sue those in Abuja, who started to clear the streets of Abuja. If it is an offence for a governor to make his state a livable city. If they are not trying to play cheap politics. What I am saying is that there is nothing wrong in going to court, but they should also sue Obi for doing same in 2011,” he said.
