The Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr has listed five teams that are favourites to win the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
He said the clear favourites for football’s greatest showpiece are Germany, Spain, Brazil, Argentina and France.
According to him, the teams have a lot of big players and a “lot of winning mentality”.
Meanwhile, the coach said that the team would not watch Croatia’s 4-0 demolition of Cameroon at the 2014 World Cup to prepare for their first game against the European nation in their Group D opener on June 16.
Rohr said he would not be toeing that path as a lot has changed in the national team setup since 2014.
He said, “Hardly, it changed a lot in four years. We will certainly not prepare for Croatia by watching this match in 2014 and comparing something.
“After all, just look at how much Nigeria has changed in that period, we can not compare it with our 2014 team, let alone Cameroon.”
