The Delta State Police Command has arrested three young boys in Eku, Ethiope East Local Government Area, of the state for alleged murder.
State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Bright Edafe disclosed this in an X post on Monday.
He explained that the three boys ccontracted a barber in Abraka for N15,000.
“The barber said he was too busy, so the boys asked for a refund.
“The barber refunded N5,000, promising to pay the balance the next day,” Edafe said.
He further explained that the three boys later went to his shop, to make their dreads.
According to the police spokesman, a fight ensued between the boys and the barber, during which one of them used an iron mopping stick to hit the barber.
“He was rushed to the hospital where he died while receiving treatment,” Edafe said.
He disclosed that the suspects are presently at State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Asaba, over the incident, which he said could have been avoided.
