Tinubu: “You can’t hand over a sick country to a sick man” – Omokri

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has warned that voting presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu into power in 2023 would be tantamount to handing over a sick country to a sick man.

Omokri, who is a staunch supporter of opposition candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, said this in a Facebook post on Thursday.

He said Nigeria tried something similar when it elected President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015 and has witnessed unprecedented currency devaluation.

Omokri claimed that, like Buhari, Tinubu has nothing of benefit to offer Nigerians and cannot withstand the physical demands of the office of President.

He urged the citizenry to vote for a “healthy leader”.

“Nigeria is sick. Tinubu is also sick. You can’t hand over a sick country to a sick man!

“We tried that in 2015 with Buhari. How is that working for us? Naira went from ₦199 to $1 to ₦710 to $1.

“Is it until it is ₦2000 to $1 we will wise up? Someone whose economic policies revolve around agbado and cassava? Who wants to recruit 50 million youths into the army? Who runs a bullion van economy?

“Enough is enough. Vote a healthy leader in 2023. Vote wisely,” he said.
