National Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has debunked reports that he tested positive for COVID-19 and has been hospitalised in Paris, France.

His spokesman, Tunde Rahman said the former Lagos State Governor was “hale and hearty”.

He described the reports of his ill-health and subsequent hospitalisation as “a lie from the pit of hell.”

Rahman’s statement stated that Tinubu had tested for COVID-19 on 15 different occasions and all results came out negative.

The spokesman admitted that the maverick politician is not in Nigeria at the moment but emphasised that he was not in France either.

According to Rahman, Tinubu is in London “resting”.

“Asiwaju is very okay. He is very fine and not sick. He does not have COVID-19. If you must know, we have done COVID-19 test 15 times, each time he felt we had travelled and mingled with many people and could be vulnerable even though he always wore his face mask, but he has been certified negative 15 times,” Rahman said.

Recall that former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode had taken to Twitter to wish Tinubu a quicky recovery following reports of his ill-health.
