Former Niger Delta agitator, Chief Government Ekpemupolo also known as Tompolo has been commended for making history due to his involvement in the establishment of Nigeria’s first Maritime University in Okerenkoko, Gbaramatu Kingdom, Delta State.
Ijaw businessman and maritime expert, Chief Beck Hitler also commended President Goodluck Jonathan for creating an enabling environment and for the speedy execution of the project by the Federal Government.
He said, “I urge Tompolo to continue with his good work because he has set the pace for rapid human and infrastructural development in the area.
“Tompolo has made history by ensuring that the maritime university and the NIMASA shipyard/dockyard in Okerenkoko, were successfully flagged off by President Jonathan.”
