A teenager has been charged with the murder a toddler who was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Dean Harris, 19, of Yaxley, Cambridgeshire, is set to appear before Peterborough magistrates’ court this morning.
The two-year-old victim was named overnight as Amina Agboola. She died shortly after being taken to Peterborough City Hospital on Thursday.
A 28-year-old woman, believed to be the girl’s mother, was also arrested and has been released on police bail.
Harris is understood to be the mother’s partner.
The couple were arrested after taking the girl to hospital themselves.
