President Donald Trump’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani has alleged that there was a pattern of massive voter fraud across many “big cities” during the presidential election.

He spoke during a press conference on behalf of the Trump campaign accompanied by campaign lawyers Sidney Powell and Jenna Ellis on Thursday. The conference held at the Republican National Committee in Washington DC.

President Trump had announced the press conference early Thursday, saying it would chart a “a very clear and viable path to victory”.

“Pieces are very nicely falling into place,” President Trump added in a tweet.

Speaking at the conference, Giuliani stated that voter fraud was perpetrated in many big cities controlled by Democrats.

He stated that in some of these cities, like Philadelphia, Atlanta and Detroit, Republican observers were prevented from observing vote-counting.

“Each one of these cities are cities that are controlled by Democrats, which means they can get away with anything they want to do.

“It means they have a certain degree of control over, certainly control the election board completely. And they control law enforcement. And unfortunately, they have some friendly judges that will issue ridiculously irrational opinions,” the president’s personal lawyer stated.

According to him, some of these cities conspired to clearly rig the election in presumptive President-elect Joe Biden’s favour.

Giuliani recalled President Trump’s repeated warnings that mail-in ballots were ripe for fraud and referred to a 2005 commission led by former President Jimmy Carter and former Secretary of State James Baker that said voting by mail creates logistical challenges and creates more opportunity for fraud.

Also speaking, Powell repeated an allegation she made on Fox Business with Lou Dobbs on Sunday that U.S. electronic voting machines made by Dominion Voting Systems Inc. used software made in Venezuela at the direction of Hugo Chavez, who died in 2013.

She quoted an affidavit deposed to by an unnamed senior military officer present when the software was allegedly designed and deployed. The affidavit was filed with a lawsuit in Georgia.

She said that Dominion was a front for SmartMatic Voting Systems, an election management firm whose chairman, Peter V. Neffenger, is a Joe Biden ally. Dominion has denied any link with SmartMatic.

She stated that the software deployed by Dominion in some US cities were configured to change cast votes for a different candidate without the voter’s knowledge.

According to her, lawful votes cast for the incumbent president and Republican candidate were switched in favour of his Democratic Party challenger, Joe Biden.

“President Trump won by a landslide.

“We are going to prove it,” she stated.
