Paris Saint Germain Boss, Thomas Tuchel was in a tetchy mood as he met with the press after his side’s draw against Napoli.
The Parisians were able to salvage a point thanks to a last-gasp finish from Angel DiMaria after Insigne and Mertens had put Napoli in the lead.
Tuchel had been clear on a number of occasions that his PSG team are not Champions League favourites, a tag that he has been unable to wash off thanks largely to the colossal sums of money spent on the team over the last number of years.
When a particular journalist wanted to press home this point again, Tuchel was not having it
“I already told you… Yesterday [Tuesday], you told me we were the favourites and I answered you we were not,” Tuchel said in the post-match news conference. “What? But you have to believe me because it’s like that.”
The Journalist retorted: “But what about the several hundreds of millions euros you have invested to win the Champions League? That’s a bit strange to say that then no?”
Tuchel was unimpressed and he fired back:
“Wow, okay that is your argument… But our conversation is a bit strange too. We are not at a restaurant!
“You just asked me a question, I give you my opinion and you have to accept that opinion no?”
At this point, the journalist backed down, only saying ‘yes’
