US marines arrest first Boko Haram suspects in Benue #bringbackourgirls

A team of United States Marines have arrested the first Boko Haram suspects in operation #Bringbackourgirls. The Marines working in conjunction with Nigerian security agencies conducted a targeted search of the suspects and found arms and ammunitions in their possession.

The two suspected Boko Haram insurgents were taken into custody at Any­ibe in Logo Local Gov­ernment Area of Benue State.

According to the Director of Defence Information, DDI, Major General Chris Olukolade,   the duo, including a teenager and an elderly man, were arrested during a cordon-and-search operation and found to be in possession of firearms.

Weapons found in their possession included two rifles, three locally fabricated pistols and 61 rounds of special ammunition.
