Napoli and Super Eagles star forward, Victor Osimhen, has expressed high praise for Rema, positioning the young artist among the elite in the global music scene.
Osimhen, known for his goal-scoring prowess on the football field, shared his admiration for Rema and other emerging Nigerian talents during a recent interview with CBS Sports Golazo on Wednesday, January 24, 2024.
In the interview, Osimhen not only lauded Rema’s status but also highlighted the potential of Grammy-nominated singers Asake, Seyi Vibez, and Omah Lay. Drawing parallels to the international success of Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Davido, Osimhen expressed optimism about the future achievements of these rising stars.
“Rema is one of the biggest artists now in the world. Rema is there at the top of global music, but these guys that I called, Omah Lay, Asake, and Seyi Vibez, are also on the come up. In a few years, they are really going to burst out just like Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy. So, for me, it’s really good to be coming from Nigeria,” Osimhen remarked.
