Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe has revealed that she has converted to Islam and also revealed her Islamic name.
She spoke in a video released on Sunday to mark the success of the first Ramadan lecture she hosted alongside her husband, Kazeem Adeoti on Saturday.
Mercy Aigbe said she felt happy and fulfilled that the Ramadan lecture was successful.
She stated that Ramadan is one of the pillars of Islam, and the lecture was organised to gather people “telling them what Allah says”.
In the video, she said, “Insha Allah, My new name is Hajia Meenah Mercy Adeoti. Meenah with the H.”
She said that she planned to proceed on Hajj pilgrimage this year.
