President Muhammadu Buhari recently sat down with Al Jazeera’s Mehdi Hassan, host of Up Front.

During the interview, Hassan asked Buhari about the fantasy that is his promise to defeat Boko Haram by December, the status of the Chibok girls and his comments to agitate for Sharia rule in Nigeria.

On the comments attributed to him on Sharia law, Buhari said he would not change the constitution to include Sharia law punishments as Nigerians did not vote him into office to do so.
