A former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Vincent Ogbulafor, is dead.

The Herald learnt that Ogbulafor died in Canada on Thursday aged 73.

He was the pioneer National Secretary of the PDP.

Born on May 24, 1949, Ogbulafor hailed from Olokoro in Umuahia South Local Government Area of Abia State.

After his stint as Nationa Secretary, he emerged National Chairman of the PDP after Umaru Musa Yar’Adua’s emergence as President in 2007.

He is famous for making the controversial comment that the PDP would rule Nigeria for 60 years, which failed to materialise as the party lost the 2015 presidential election to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He was recently named in the PDP Presidential Campaign Council for 2023.
