Once upon a time, a Chelsea team sheet was incomplete if it didn’t feature England International, Gary Cahill.
That isn’t the case anymore, as the veteran defender has hardly featured for the Blues this season and he is definitely frustrated by his lack of game time.
Cahill is so frustrated that he is reportedly seriously considering a move away from the club in search of more minutes.
Chelsea Assistant Manager, Gianfranco Zola has said that his anger is good news for the club as this will make him more focused.
With a match against Liverpool coming up tomorrow in the Carabao Cup, Cahill will certainly get a chance to play as it’s likely he’ll get a run out against the Reds.

Speaking to the press, Zola said that the England international’s anger was just fine and that he completely understood the player’s misgivings.
“First of all, whether he plays or not tomorrow, it won’t be a reflection of what you’re saying,” said Zola when asked about Cahill’s apparent desire to leave.
“It’s totally understandable that Gary is upset. We want him to be upset. It means he cares. But he’s a top professional and is doing everything correctly.
“He just needs to be patient. He came back late, and the players were doing well. He will have his chances, and then it’s down to him to take his chances in the best way.”
Cahill, on his part, said he might have to look for pastures anew after he found himself on the bench for the duration of Chelsea’s game against PAOK last week.
“I realise that sometimes you have to make tough decisions and football doesn’t wait for people,”
He added: “I don’t want to jump the gun but as things stand at this time, probably, yes [I might have to leave in January]. Whatever my future holds, in terms of the club, it will have been a huge part of my footballing life. I’ve got maximum respect for everybody here.”
