In a recent post-eviction interview, former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemates Soma and Angel passionately affirmed that their romantic relationship was genuine and not a strategic move within the BBNaija All-Stars house.
The couple, who exited the reality show alongside Venita, shed light on their relationship during an interview with Classic FM, asserting that what they shared was authentic and not a calculated game plan as some may perceive.
Soma candidly shared that he had no initial intentions of seeking love when he entered the Biggie’s house. He emphasized that his bond with Angel wasn’t premeditated but blossomed organically.
“We intend to keep it going basically for as long as it can because it was not just the house. It was real for us,” said Soma. “I know a lot of people said it was strategic, but that was never the case. It was not something we came into the house planning to do. I personally did not plan to ship with anybody, and I doubt that she wanted to ship as well. It just happened. So it was very organic.”
Echoing Soma’s sentiment, Angel delved into her previous relationship, making it clear that it wasn’t going to work out. She expressed her surprise at developing feelings for someone while in the house, emphasizing that she did not expect to form such a connection.
“Going into the house, I did not expect to like anyone,” she confessed. “So yeah, it is obviously not going to work out between my ex and me.”
Soma aligned his views with Angel, acknowledging that both of them had decided to move on from their previous relationships before entering the BBNaija show.
“Definitely, I guess we are on the same page on that,” he concluded, signifying their commitment to embarking on a new chapter in their lives together post-BBNaija.
